Nestled on the shores of the Waitemata Harbour at Birkenhead Point , NBYC is a fantastically friendly club offering sailing activities from learn-to-sail through to advanced sailing tuition and fun-oriented club racing.
Who We Are
The vibrant life surrounding the Northcote Birkenhead Yacht Club is what makes our location so special. From commuters at the ferry terminal and fishers on the wharf to families at the B Cafe, Aratika waka ama paddlers, boaties on the ramp, and school kids enjoying Waterwise activities, our shores are always bustling. We are incredibly proud to host weddings, milestone birthdays, beach swimmers, and those who simply drop by to sit back and soak in the view.
As a dedicated non-profit organisation, NBYC thrives on community spirit. We wouldn't be here without the wonderful supporters, volunteers, and local businesses who generously gift us their time, talent, and sponsorship.
